Our first taste of Rome was this: a jam packed subway with Barcelona and Manchester fans trying to get to the UEFA Championship game. We found ourselves caught in between the two teams as they sang they fight songs back and forth trying to drown out the other. I think the man in yellow is trying to plug his ears. There were some amazing acoustics down there... We made our way to our bed and breakfast and chose to watch the game from the comfort of the local restaurant La Perla.
Mandy and Myself in the Coliseum
Alex and me getting our gladiator on
Alex, Me, Mandy, Kirk
Mandy always jokes about her "bug eyes" and my reverse "vampire teeth". In the Coliseum museum (that's kinda catchy) we found our apparent ancestors...
More Coliseum
On our way to Palatine Hill. We found these sugar coated pastries and invented the challenge to eat them without licking your lips till it's gone. Easier said than done...
The Sistine Chapel - AMAZING! (Yes, this picture was illegal, no, the flash was not used, and no, I didn't take it.)
Some park that appeared to have a way in but no way out - we walked in circles for a good hour. I still don't remember how we found our way out.
Last night in Rome only hours before having to catch a 6 am flight back to Milan - complete with a full round of Phase 10 and five different local fruit juices.
